This thesis aims to an intensive study of clinical diagnostic thinking on the baisis of literature research in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases. The traditional Chinese medicine is an importmatn part of excellent Chinese traditional culture. Clinincal TCM, with its uinque thinking mode, has a long history and exerts an influence upon medical sciences. Clinical TCM diagnostic thinking is a cognitive activity of processing, finishing and subliming clinical data by use of TCM theory and thinking method after a doctor obtains clinical data through clinical pratice, and is of great significance to the disease treatment and rehabilitation. The research of clinical TCM diagnostic thinking can effectively raise the standard of TCM theory and enhance the ability of clinical practice.Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases, as the first complete clinical medical work in China, was good at summing up the clinical diagnostic thinking of former doctors, combined with own clinical experience of years, developed the system of clinical TCM diagnostic thinking for the great effect of disease treatment. It was influenced by thinking methods of the Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine and the philosophy of Qin and Han dynasties, and was integrated with the characteristics of TCM diagnostic thinking, to play a guiding role in clinical practice. In medical practice, in order to make full use of TCM diagnosis and treatment, we need to pay special attention to the thinking mode. Through extensive literature research, the distinctive clinical thinking modes can be found in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases. The most important thinking modes summarized by this thesis are the thinking mode of disease with syndrom; the thinking mode of two-dimensional for Yin and Yang; the thinking mode of primay and secondary for disease symptom; the thinking mode of identification of similar syndrom; the thinking mode of unification of prescription and syndrom; the thinking mode of treatment method reletive to syndrom. These clinical thinking modes are more mature and relatively perfect in content and have practical value in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and can play an important guiding role in practice. These clinical thinking modes can reflect the characteristics of Zhang Zhongjing's medicine, and also be carried on and developed by the later doctors.Through the study of the clinical diagnostic thinking in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases, we can better understand the characteristics of TCM, and to carry forward the advantages of TCM, and give the certain enlightenment to inherit and carry on the medical culture of our motherland. Especially in studying and learning Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases and other classics of Chinese medicine, we should set up opinions for the combination of macro and micro perspective. Only in this way, we can better put the theory of TCM into clinical practice, and inherit core values of TCM, and develop fine tradition of TCM, and make better contribution to the cause of human health.
