| Objective:To explore the effects of Chlorpromazine, Risperidone and Aripiprazole on blood glucose of patients with schizophrenia. Methods:According to the medication condition,to divide 152 in-patient with schizophrenia into Chlorpromazine group, Risperidone group and Aripiprazole group. Blood glucose on an empty stomach was assessed prior and after 1 month,3 months,6 months treatment. Results:There was significant differences on blood glucose between before and after treatment of 6 months in Chlorpromazine group (P<0.05); After treatment of 6 months, the rate of change of blood glucose of Chlorpromazine group was significantly higher than Risperidone group's and the Aripiprazole group's(P<0.05); There was no significant differences on blood glucose between before treatment and after treatment of 1,3,6 month in Risperidone group and Aripiprazole group (P>0.05)Conclusions:Long-term useing Chlorpromazine will increase the risk of increasing blood glucose of patients with schizophrenia, especially for the middle aged and elderly patients. The effects of Risperidone and Aripiprazole on blood glucose of patients with schizophrenia are smaller. |
