Objectives:To research the clinical effect of Gastrodin injection used to pediatrics migraine at the acute stage, observe the feasibility and side effects of this treatment, and research the curative effect of patients with different gender and age.Materials and methods:This subject gathered 131 pediatric patients with migraine at outpatient service of our hospital, from December 2008 to January 2011. Refering to diagnosis criteria which was established by the International Headache Society 2004 for children, all the subject which conform to the diagnosis standard processed auxiliary examination, including the brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRI(or brain CT), Digital Subtraction Angiography, Regional Cerebral Blood Flow, Transcranial Doppler, liver and renal function test, and Routine Test of Finger Blood etc. Headache caused by the other reasons should be eliminated, such as: headaches epilepsy, infantile hypertension, intracranial neoplasm, vascular malformations and Glaucoma etc. All the 131 cases were randomly divided into three groups according to the time sequence of seeing doctor. Gastrodin injection group 61 cases:male 29, female 32,7-11 years old 21 cases,-14 years old 40 cases, average 6.8 months progression, average 6.1 times a month, average 1.2 hours every time; Gastrodin injection combined ibuprofen group 44 cases:male 24, female 20, 7~11 years old 19 cases,-14 years old 25 cases, average 7.4 months progression, average 5.9 times a month, average 1.4 hours every time;Ibuprofen group 32 cases:male 15, female 17,7~11 years old 14 cases,~14 years old 18 cases, average 7.1 months progression, average 6.2 times a month, average 1.1 hours every time. three groups of gender, age, duration of the general information of three groups such as gender, age and duration had no statistically significant difference (P> 0.1). So, they were comparable. The patients in Gastrodin injection group, had intravenous drip with 2ml gastrodin injection (Trade Name:Tian Xuan Qing, Kunming Pharmaceutical Limited Company,2ml (0.2) per vase) into 5%GS 250ml during 2h once a day. The patients in Gastrodin injection joint ibuprofen group had intravenous drip with 2ml gastrodin injection (0.2g/2ml)into the 5%GS 250ml during 2h once a day, and took orally ibuprofen (Beijing Xin Nuo Pharmaceutical Limited Company,0.2/piece) 10mg·kg-1·d-1, three doses a day. The patients in ibuprofen group took orally ibuprofen 10mg·kg-1·d-1, three doses a day. Seven days were a course of treatment, according to the patients condition one or two courses of treatment were adopted. All the subject to observe had no other medical history seven days before and during treatment. To observe the clinical efficacy and untorward effect. Results:After treatment, all of the subjects had obvious change. So, it have statistical significance(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the Gastrodin injection group is 95.08%. The total effective rate of Gastrodin injection joint ibuprofen group is 97.93%. The total effective rate of ibuprofen group is 78.13%. Three sets of data have obvious difference,P <0.05.The total effective rate of the two experimental group are higher than the ibuprofen group. The total effective rate of Gastrodin injection group is 54.10% at the first stage of treatment (1~3d). The total effective rate of Gastrodin injection joint ibuprofen group is 54.55%. The total effective rate of the ibuprofen group is 43.75%. Three sets of data have obvious difference, P<0.05. The total effective rate of Gastrodin injection group is 86.89% at the second stage of treatment (4-7d). The total effective rate of Gastrodin injection joint ibuprofen group is 90.09%. The total effective rate of the ibuprofen group is 68.75%. Three sets of data have obvious difference, P<0.05. In the Gastrodin injection group, male account for 77.3% and female women account for 82%. There is no difference between the two sets of data, P>0.05. In the Gastrodin injection joint ibuprofen group, male account for 98.33% and female 97.98%. There is no difference between the two sets of data, P>0.05. In the Gastrodin injection group 31 cases are 7 to 11 years old:excellent 19 cases, accounted for 61.29%;effective:12cases, accounted for 38.71%; invalid:2 cases, accounted for 6.45%;29 cases are belong to 11 to 14 years old group:excel lent 16 cases,53.33%; effective:13 cases,43.33%; invalid:1 case,3.33%. The results were not significant(P>0.05). In the Gastrodin injection joint ibuprofen group 23 cases are 7 to 11 years old:excellent 13 cases, accounted for 56.82%;effective:10cases, accounted for 43.48%; invalid:0 cases, accounted for 0.00%;20 cases are belong to 11 to 14 years old group:excellent 9 cases,42.86%;effective:11 cases,52.38%; invalid:1 case,4.76%. The results were not significant(P>0.05). In the iburofen group 11 cases are 7 to 11 years old excellent 5 cases, accounted for 35.71%;effective:6 cases, accounted for 42.86%;invalid:3 cases, accounted for 21.43%;14 cases are belong to 11 to 14 years old group:excellent 9 cases,50.00%;effective:5 cases,27.78%; invalid:4 cases,23.53%. The results were not significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1. Gastrodin injection and ibuprofen used to the acute exacerbation of MG is effective. They all can make the extent of headache lighter, the frequency of attack fewer and the last time is shorter. And that, among the two experimental groups the frequency and last time of attack changed more obviously than matched group.2.The curative effect of three groups have obvious difference. Both the previous groups are obviously better than solely given ibuprofen group.3. There is no difference of the clinical effect between Gastrodin injection group and Gastrodin jinjection joint ibuprofen group.4. Gastrodin injection used to treat MG worked fast, and the effect was obviously better than ibuprofen group. But, two drugs combined application did not effect more quickly than IBF group.5. Application of gastrodin injection in treating pediatric migraine during the acute stage have no obvious recent adverse reactions.6. There is no maked difference among the patients of different age ang gender. To substantiate gastrodin injection can be used to treat MG in the acute phase. In addition it works fast and has no obvious adverse reaction. Also, the curative effect for separate application is obvious. No obvious difference of gender or age.It is worth to be applied in clinical treatment.
