Status Of The Doctor-patient Relationship In Certain Minority Areasin Inner Mongolia Investigation And Study

Doctor-patient relationship is the most basic, the most important and the most active relationship in the medical activities. Good doctor-patient relationship is the basis of medical activity, and it will exert negative effects on the implement of societal medical treatment. But in the past few years, the growing tension of Doctor-patient relationship and the high incidence of medical disputes has inevitably influenced the doctors and patients, it has been an important problem and must be solved in the future. Because of unique socio-economic, historical background, traditional culture and environment, it is very important to realize the harmony between doctors and patients in the Minority district. Sectional investigation and literature were used to understand the status of the doctor-patient relationship in minority areas in Inner Mongolia and to provide reasonable proposal for realizing the harmony between the doctor and the patient on the basis of the study of doctor-patient related theories, the literatures and the fact in this domain, The paper was divided into four parts.The first part, the summary of doctor-patient relationship. The concept , connotation, essence, the three basic patterns and the trend of doctor-patient relationship were expounded.The second part, the investigation and analysis of doctor-patient relationship in ethnic minority areas in Inner Mongolia. Excel,Spss(13.0) software were used to analyzed the data which was obtained from two general hospitals in Xilinhot city in Inner Mongolia . The general understand of doctor-patient relationship , the appraisal of medical ethics ,the communication between doctors and patients and the causes of the strained doctor-patient relationship and countermeasures were involved in the questionnaire .The prevalence of strained doctor-patient relationship ,the decline of contentment and trust were found in this study. The third part, the main factors influencing the doctor-patient relationship in ethnic minority areas. Government ,hospital ,doctor, patient and media are related to the strained doctor-patient relationship. The irrational medical system and the high cost of medical treatment are the root cause of the strained doctor-patient relationship.The fourth part, the countermeasures of establishing harmonious doctor-patient relationship. Reasonable advice and countermeasures were proposed according to the fact and new health care reform.The limitation of realizing of doctor-patient relationship was settled, and the countermeasures of the strained doctor-patient relationship were studied according to the ethic, system, law, race, area, language and culture in this paper.
