Objective:By compairing the proximal femoral nail anti-rotation (PFNA)and Dynamic condyler screw (DHS)to treatment the elderly intertrochanteric femur fractures,to analysis the best way of the fixation in different types of intertrochanteric femur fractures.Metheds:A study of trentment elderly intertrochanteric femur fractures of 60 cases in the Orthpedic department of the Longgang Central Hospital from March 2008 to November 2010,All patients were divided into two groups, A group is treatmented with the proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PFNA),the other group is treatmented with the Dynamic condyler screw (DHS). Twenty eight cases in the PFNA group and Thirty two cases in the DHS group. Recorded the general situation, type of the fracture, operative time, blood loss during the operation,Weight bearing time, fracture healing time operative complications, and scored Harris Standards to be graded before and after operation. Then evaluation and statistical analysis these two methods. Results:There were no significant difference in Length of hospital stay and fracture healing time between the PFNA group and DHS group (p> 0.05). The operation times and blood loss in the operation of PFNA was less than the group of DHS(p<0.01), There was no significant difference in Harris hip score ofter operation between these two group in stbale Intertrochanteric fractures (Tronzo Evans typeⅠ~Ⅱ) (p> 0.05).But there was significant difference in unstbaleIntertrochanteric femur fractures,PFNA group score was higher than the DHSgroup.(p<0.01).Conclusion:The PFNA and DHS are the used treatment of Intertrochanteric fractures of elderly, and effective method of treatment of stable fractures, can be chioosed one of them,No significant difference in efficacy between the two Surgical。The unstable Intertrochanteric fractures Preferred PFNA fixation, with less damage, consistent with human bio-bio-mechanics, and so less likely to cut the head or neck of the femoral, especially preffered for the serious osteoporosis patients.
