The Clinical Effects Of Chaiqinchengqi Decoction And Rhubarb Retention Enema On Acute Edematous Pancreatitis

Objective:To observe the effects of Chaiqinchengqi Decoction and rhubarb retention enema on acute edematous pancreatitis efficacy and to provide the clinical evidence of Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of acute pancreatitis.Methods:45 cases of acute edematous pancreatitis and medical dialectics as liver qi stagnation and empirical Yangming organs were randomly divided into treatment group with Traditional Chinese for 24 cases and treatment group with western medicine for 21 cases. Two groups were given ECG,fasting,gastrointestinal decompression,maintaining the balance of water and electrolyte and other basic treatment.The treatment group was given Chaiqinchengqi Decoction oral administration and rhubarb retention enema; the control group was added the drug treatment to reduce pancreatic secretion,reduce trypsin activity and so on. Observed and compared the two groups before and after treatment by symptoms score (abdominal pain,fever,nausea,vomiting,abdominal tension,tongue and pulse),laboratory tests index (urine amylase,fasting blood glucose,serum calcium,serum creatinine,hematocrit,WBC,CRP),the fasting time,serum amylase returned to normal time,length of stay and the other changes.Results:About the treatment group of Traditional Chinese medicine, the total effective rate was 95.8% while the control group was 95.2%.The difference of two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05); Two groups before and after treatment by symptoms score(abdominal pain,fever,nausea,vomiting,abdominal tension,tongue and pulse),laboratory tests index (urine amylase,serum creatinine,hematocrit,WBC,CRP),the time of fasting,serum amylase returned to normal time,length of stay and other index showed no significantly different (P>0.05).After treatment, two groups had significant effect (P<0.05). But the treatment effects of two groups showed no significantly different (P>0.05). However, the fasting blood glucose, serum calcium of before and after treatment were within the normal range with no significantly different (P>0.05).Conclusion:On the basis of general treatment, using Chaiqinchengqi Decoction and rhubarb retention enema to treat acute edematous pancreatitis had significant effect, and the treatment results nearly with the treatment of western medicine.
