Objective:To investigate the general distribution of subtypes of Human papilloma virus (HPV) among Guizhou minority ethnics women with cervical cancer. Methods:The technology of flow-through hybridization gene chip to detect was adopt on the 21 subtypes HPV of (including 13 high-risk subtypes,5 low-risk subtypes and 3 normal subtypes among Chinese) in 145 paraffin issue sampled from the patients of Guizhou minority ethnic wowen with cervical cancer, and analyze the HPV infectivity and distribution. Results:The total HPV positive rate of 145 cervical paraffin embeddingc issues was 35.86%, among which the HPV positive rate of patients from Miao nationality, Dong Minority and Tujia ethnic minority were 27.66%(13/47),38%(19/50),41.67% (20/48). The HPV infection rate differences among the three ethnics was of no statistics significance (χ2=2.177, P=0.337); 7 out of all the HPV21 subtypes samples have been detected as high risk. HPV subtypes with positive infection from high to low were 16,58,18,31,52/68,33, and infection rate were 65.62%,14.06%, 7.81%,4.69%,3.12%,1.56%. The differences of the distributions of the paraffin sections among the three ethnic with cervical cancer patients were of no statistics significance (χ2= 0.462, P=0.794). The presence rate of HPV16 among the three ethnics was the highest with the total percentage 65.6%. HPV single infections among the HPV positive patients with cervical cancer were 10, HPV16 as the major part, among which double infections were 8 of HPV16 mixed with other kinds, two kinds of tripling infections were HPV16+HPV18+HPV31.Conclusion:The HPV infection type among the minority ethnic wowen patients with cervical cancer were mainly HPV16,58,18, among which multiple infection was of low propotion of HPV16 mixed with other types, reflecting the specificity of minority ethnic HPV infection of this study.
