Now, with the development of medical technology, the treatment of depression has also made great progress. However, there was then a part of the treatment of depression is not satisfactory, even for the current drug treatments and electroconvulsive therapy have shown resistance or invalid. So, people put them in a variety of antidepressant drugs and electroconvulsive therapy for depression are ineffective as Resistant depression. In recent years, with in-depth research on the development of depression, there is a large study found that depression is not only emotional disorders, and some cognitive damage, but also with depression, it is the main reason to still can not fully its social function in remission. Similarly, in patients with resistant depression is more severe cognitive impairment, mainly as memory, attention, executive function and motor coordination and other aspects of damage. Of course, due to the use of methods, measurement tools and different subjects may arrive at different results. This study selected a military hospital in patients with resistant depression and normal populations control study of cognitive psychology through their determination to explore in patients with treatment-resistant depression characteristics of cognitive impairment, its causes and treatment to find out.Obje ctive:To investigate patients with resistant depression characteristics of cognitive impairment for patients with resistant depression provide some basis for treatment.Method :With Wisconsin Card Sorting Test using (WCST), number - symbol test, connection test (TMT), digit span test, 58 cases of refractory depression patients and 61 normal controls to assess their cognitive function of t test analysis. Results :1. WCST scores showed the two groups: study group WCST number of total responses (Ra), the number of correct responses (Rc), sustained response (Rp), continuous errors (Rpe) were higher than the normal group, completed categories (Cc), lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (t values were -3.89, -7.04, -7.13, -6.62, -7.26, both p <0.01). Study group connection test A (TMT-A) is significantly higher than the control group with (p <0.01), the connection test B (TMT-B) errors were significantly more than the control group (p <0.01).2. Two sets of WCST scores Results: level of education <12 years between the two groups, the study group in the total number of responses (Ra), the total number of correct (Rc), continuous errors (Rpe), completed categories (Cc) a few item significantly lower than the control group, P value <0.01. The two groups in the number of sustained response (Rp) item no significant difference, P value> 0.05. In the level of education> 12 years of the study group and control group, WCST on the test items were significantly different, P value <0.01. Two sets of TMT, WAIS score results: In the level of education <12 years between the two groups, the study group and control group in TMT, WAIS compared the detection of significant differences exist, P value <0.01. In the level of education> 12 years between the two groups, the research group TMT-A, TMT-B time and errors using significantly more than the control group, the WAIS digit span test, the results of the two groups significantly difference, P value <0.01. In the WAIS digit symbol test, the difference between the two groups was not significant, P value> 0.05.Conclusions :1. Patients with refractory depression in the implementation of capacity, cognitive transfer capacity, memory, abstraction ability, attention to capacity and speed have obvious damage, but in concept formation, selective memory difference was not significant. For the treatment of depression can be combined with psychological treatment drug treatment.2. The degree in comparative education, educational level <12 years of both groups had significant differences in level of education> 12 years, no significant difference between the two groups. Can be drawn, in patients with refractory depression with cognitive impairment suffered by the relationship between level of education is inconsistent. The lower level of education, the greater the difference; higher level of education, this difference is smaller.
