Objective:By detecting the levels of MMP-9 and the mutation rate of the gene-1562C/T in patients with coronary heart disease to know the characteristics of the levels of MMP-9 in various types of coronary heart disease of the patients in Chinese-Korean and Chinese han-people in Yanbian District, and also to figure out the population distribution of the MMP-9 gene-1562C/T promoter region SNP loci in Yanbian area to investigate its correlation with CHD.Research Methods:We choosed 118 patients who underwent coronary angiography (CAG) in our Cardiology from February 2010 to January 2011, including 65 acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients,27 stable angina pectoris (SAP) ones and 26 subjects with normal coronary angiography. Patients suffering from iabetes, hypertension, infection, tumor, recent major trauma, surgery, systemic autoimmune diseases and kidney dysfunction were ruled out. Blood glucose, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein and other biochemical markers had to be detected. The levels of MMP-9 were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and genotyped by dideoxy chain-termination method.Results:1 The levels of MMP-9 in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) group were higher than that of stable angina pectoris (SAP) group and normal group in Yanbian District, statistically significant difference between the two groups (P 0.01);and that of stable heart angina (SAP) was higher than the normal group, statistically difference between the two groups (P<0.05).2 Comparison between Chinese-Korean and Chinese in Yanbian District, the levels of MMP-9 in ACS Group, SAP group and normal group were not significantly different (P>0.05).3 There was no correlation between the levels of MMP-9 and the number of the damaged coronary artery(P>0.05).4 The C/T genotype frequency of ACS group was higher than normal group, statistically difference between the two groups (P<0.05),the C/T genotype frequency of SAP group was higher than normal group, statistically difference between the two groups (P<0.05),the C/T genotype frequency of ACS group and SAP group had no significant difference (P>0.05).5 The MMP-9 levels of the patients who are carrying C/T in ACS group were higher than the patients who are carrying C/C genotype, statistically difference between the two groups (P<0.05).6 The MMP-9 levels of the patients who are carrying C/T in SAP group and the patients who are carrying C/C genotype had no significant difference (P>0.05).7 There was no significant difference compare with the genotype frequency of C/T and C/C,T and C,between Chinese-Korean and Chinese in Yanbian District.Conclusion:1 Plasma levels of MMP-9 may reflect the severity of coronary heart disease;2 The plasma levels of MMP-9 of patients with coronary heart disease and degree of coronary artery disease showed no significant correlation in Yanbian District.3 The C/T genotypes of MMP-9-1562 may be the susceptibility of acute coronary syndrome.4 There were no significantly different with MMP-9-1562C/T genotype and allele frequency distribution and plasma levels of MMP-9 Between Chinese-Korean and Chinese in Yanbian District.
