Objective:To investigate the relationship between expression of Interleukin 17(IL-17), T lymphocyte subsets and recurrence of henoch-schonlein purpura(HSP). To explore influencing factor on the recurrence of HSP,and guide the clinical treatment. Methods:All 62 patients were divided into two groups by result of follow-up in 6 months, recurrence group and non-recurrence group. IL-17 in acute stage and recovery phase were assayed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) respectively of 21 patients with recurrence and 41 patients without relapse,15 cases of healthy children as normal control group. CD4+, CD8+ were detected by flow cytometry (FCM). IgA,IgG,IgM,IgE,CRP,ASO were detected with Immune turbidimetry. And analysis these data by statistical soft to see if they had statistical difference.Results:(1) In acute-stage, there was no statistical difference of the IL-17 level between recurrence group[(125.47±24.81)pg/ml] and non-recurrence[(127.29±19.54)pg/ml] (P >0.05), while they were all higher than normal control group[(99.41±8.91)pg/ml] (P<0.05). No difference was found in CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+, IgA, IgG, IgM, IgE, CRP, ASO between recurrence group and non-recurrence group (P>0.05) (2) In recovery-phase,the IL-17 level recurrence group[(114.35±7.93)pg/ml] higher than non-recurrence group[(98.26±10.48)pg/ml] and normal control group[(99.41±8.91) pg/ml] (P<0.01). There was statistical difference in the CD4+, CD4+/CD8+, IgE level between recurrence group and non-recurrence group(P<0.05). There was no statistical difference of the CD8+, IgA, IgG, IgM, CRP, ASO level between recurrence group and non-recurrence(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1) In the acute-stage, recurrence group and non-recurrence group IL-17 levels showed no statistical difference, but higher than normal control group, CD4+, CD4+/ CD8+ levels in two groups lower than normal value, suggesting that immune imbalance in acute phase.(2) In recovery-phase, IL-17 levels of recurrence group were significantly higher than the non-recurrence group and the normal control group, the levels of CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ in two groups was statistical difference, indicating that two groups of patients is not the same as the body's immune status, recurrence group is still immune imbalance state.(3) In recovery-phase,IgE levels of the recurrence group and non-recurrence group have significantly different (P<0.05), IgA, IgG, IgM, CRP,ASO level of recurrent group and non-relapse group no significant difference (P>0.05), suggest the incentives of HSP recurrence, mainly allergic factors, and not infection.
