Endophytic fungi is a diversity group of microorganism. For the long existence in plant, endophytic fungi evolved with the host plant together. And in this process, they established the symbiotic relationship, which is coexistence and mutual restrict. For this kind of relationship, the endophytic fungi and plant show the same or simily components in chemical composition.Perennial herb Dysoma versipellis(Berberidaceae), which is widely distributed in Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Sichuan province, is the unique medicinal plants in China. Modern research shows that Dysomas mainly contain constituents such as lignans, flavonoids, quinones, sterides, ect. These compounds mostly showed several pharmacological activities, including anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory. However, up to now, the study on constituents and biological activities of the endophytic fungi of Dysosma versipellis have reported rarely. Because of the excellent pharmacological activities of the Dysosma versipellis, in order to search for single compounds in anti-tumor, we systematically investigated the constituents of the endophytic fungi of Dysosma versipellis in the roots. By chromatographic methods, including thin-layer chromatography, column chromatography on silica gel, SephadexLH-20, and semi-preparative HPLC, 16 compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the secondary metabolites of the endophytic fungi. The structures were determined asβ-sitosterol (1), cholesterol (2), 5α, 8α-epidioxy-(22E, 24R)-ergosta-6, 22-dien -3β-ol (3), 5,8-Epidioxy-5α,8α-ergosta-6, 9, 22E-tien-3β-ol (4), Ergosta-4, 6, 8(14), 22- tetraene-3-one (5), ganodemasides B (6), 5a,6a-epoxy-3β-hydroxy-(22E)-ergosta -8(14),22-dien-7-one (7), stigmasterol (8), (Z)-Stigmasta-5,24(28)-dien-3β-ol (9), hexadecanoic acid (10), oleic acid (11), 9-Octadecenoic acid (Z)-, 2-hydroxy-3-[(1-oxohexadecyl)oxy]propyl ester (12), 9-Octadecenoic acid (Z)-, 2-hydroxy-3-[(1-oxooctadecyl)oxy]propyl ester (13) 1-O-hexadecanolenin (14), Glycerol Monooleate (15), adenosine (16).China is rich in marine biological resources, and the history of marine medicinal organism had exist a long time. As part of the traditional medicine, marine drugs have been lack of scientific inspection method in quality control. These years, with the emergence of traditional medicine fingerprint technology, the clarify of chemical composition of chinese medicine has made great progress in variety and complexity. And it offered hope in quality control of Chinese medicine.Mytilus edulis linnaeus is a kind of traditional marine medicinal organism. Research shows that Mytilus edulis linnaeus is rich in amino acid, polyphosphate unsaturated fatty acid, vitamin etc. Not only does it has a higher nutritional value, but has the function in anti-arteriosclerosis, anti-inflammatory, lower blood pressure and higher immunity. HPLC-fingerprint of Mytilus edulis linnaeus, containing 13 mutual peaks, was established according to the analysis of 9 samples under the optimum chromagraphic conditions, and the system suitability test was in compliance with the fingerprint technique specifications. The fingerprint could be used as identification of Mytilus edulis linnaeus. According to the research of Mytilus edulis linnaeus, we first establish its HPLC-fingerprint, and provide a scientific basis to the further study of its medicinal active ingredients and the authenticity of identification.
