Objective:To analysis the features of type 2 diabetic retinopathy (DR), and to explore the relationship between serum cystatin C(Cys-C), high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and retinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes.Patients and methods:1,Study samples 325 cases with type 2 diabetes admitted into the jinan second people's hospital from January 2009 to May 2010 were enrolled. DM diagnosis is according to 1999 WHO diagnostic standard of DM. All patients had no acute complication, abnormal liver and renal function or tumor etc.2,Investigating contents:Age,Diabetic course, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of each patient were recorded. Blood samples was drawn from the ulnar vein in the morning, and were used to measure fasting blood glucose(FPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc),totol cholesterol(TC) triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),creatinine(CREA) blood uric acid(BUA),high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and serum cystatin C(Cys-C).24 hour urine were collected for quantitative assay of protein. The aim was to analysis characteristics and related factors of DR group.3,Groups:They were divided into 5 periods according to 2002 international classification standard, that were no obvious retinopathy (period 1), mild not proliferating diabetic retinopathy (period 2), moderately not proliferating diabetic retinopathy period 3), severe not proliferating diabetic retinopathy (period 4), proliferating diabetic retinopathy disease (period 5).4,Statistical:All datas were analyzed by SPSS 16.0, includingχ2-tests,and logistic regression. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results:In the cases, DR total prevalence accounted for about 47 percent.Compared with the period 1, processes, HbAlc, hs-CRP, Cys-C,24h-UAE in 2,3,4,5each period were significantly increased (P<0.05), and in turn increased in 2,3,4,5 period (P<0.05); Multiple regression analysis showed that Cys-C, hs-CRP were the independent risk factors of DR prevalence rate and the severity of DR, and were positively correlated with type 2 diabetes duration HbA1c and 24h-UAE respectively. Conclusions The DR and the severity were closely related with Cys-C and hs-CRP; Cys-C, hs-CRP may become the biological indicators to predict occurrence and development of DR.
