Objective:To study the effects of soy isoflavones on metabolic components of rats with metabolic syndrome induced by dietary, the experiment depended on researching IL-6 and adiponectin(ADPN) to explore the mechanism that SI privented and treated MS.Method:Male SD rats were fed by high-fat high-salt and high-sugar diet for 20 weeks to copy the model of metabolic syndrome.37 model rats with metabolic syndrome, which were established successfully and were randomly divided into 4 groups: model group, soy isoflavones high-dose group, soy isoflavones low-dose group and Metformin Hydrochioride control group, and every group was lavaged with the appropriate drug for 4 weeks. We evaluated model and drug effection by measuring weight, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, serum insulin, lipids and other indicators, calculating Insulin sensitivity index(HOMA-IR).The level of IL-6 and ADPN in serum were tested by RIA method before and after intervening of drug.Result:1. The model of metabolic syndrome can be builded up through feeding SD rats by high-fat high-salt and high-sugar diet. The level of weight, abdominal circumference, blood pressure, fasting glucose, fasting insulin, HOMA-IR,lipids TG, TC and LDL of experimental rats significantly increased, and the HDL level reduced.Compared with the normal group,it had statistical significance (P<0.01).2.After treatment about 4 weeks,SI can reduce the weight, blood glucose, and concentration of the serum insulin obviously. Its effection was similar to the the metformin group. And SI also can decrease the level of blood pressure,TC,TG,LDL-c.Compared with the model group, it had statistical significance (P<0.01orP<0.05)。 3.The level of IL-6 decreased significantly in the SI high-dose group and metformin group(P<0.01),There was no significant difference between them.Compared with model group, the level of ADPN increased in SI high-dose group and metformin group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. High-fat high-sugar high-salt diet feeding SD rats for long term can copy the MS model with the basic human clinical features of MS such as obesity,IR,hypertension,hyperglycemia,ect.2.SI can reduce blood pressure, sugar content of blood, index of correlation about obesity such as weight, visceral adipose mass and regulate lipid metabolism and improve insulin resistence.3.SI can decrease the serum level of IL-6,but it can increase the serum level of ADPN.It maybe one of the mechanisms in improving insulin resistence through inhibiting the inflammatory reaction and regulating adipocytokine.
