Meta-Analysis Of Chinese Medicine Decoction Treatment For Cervical Spondylosis Of The Vertebral Artery Type

Objective:By means of systemic revews of clinical research quality, finding out the shortage of Chinese Medicine clinical research,and puts forward corresponding references,in order to improve the quality of Chinese Medicine clinical research;To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of Chinese Medicine Decoction for treating cervical spondylosis of the vertebral artery type.Methods:Collecting and statsing domestic published literatu -re that researching the clinical curative effect for Chinese Medicine Decoction treatment of cervical spondylosis of the vertebral artery type, Finishing literature and selecting which meet the require ments. Based on the principle and the method of DME, we formulat the systematic review table of the treatment article of Chinese Medicine decoction to the CSA, evaluating the quality of all literature, and scoring the literature with modified JADAD scoresheets; On this basis, we utilized the RevMan to procee Meta-analysis of fixed effect model, including heterogeneity, curative effect, sensitivity for different inclusion criteria results and publication bias.Result:Selecting 10 literature,707 patients. According to the ratings of modified JADAD scoresheets, we know that 10 literature were low quality, account for that Chinese Medicine study design of RCT and the quality control have deficiency. Meta analysis shows that Chinese Medicine Decoction treatment of cervical spondylosis of the vertebral artery type compared with western medicine has obvious effect. OR=4.81[2.56,9.05], statistics inspecting Z= 4.88,P<0.00001,it has significant difference;Chinese Medicine Decoction has obvious effect compare to proprietary Chinese Medicine. OR=3.75 [1.88,7.50], statistics inspecting Z=3.74, P=0.0002. It has significant difference; Comprehensive effect OR=4.31,95% confidence interval [2.71,6.87],So Chinese Medeine Decoction treatment of cervical spondylosis of the vertebral artery type have remarkable effect, thus for providing theoretical basis for later clinical medication. The result of sensitivity analysis show that fixed effect model and random effect model OR=4.31 [2.71,6.87] and OR=4.23 [2.63,6.79], there is little difference of the result between two different models, accounting for that the result of Meta analysis is stabilized. It shows that there is certain pubilication bias about selected literature from the digram asymmetry of funnel plot.Conclusion:1. In this study. Chinese Medicine Decoction, western medicine and Proprietary Chinese Medicine this three treatment of cervical spondylosis of the vertebral artery type are clearly curative effect, but Chinese Medicine Decoction treatment effect is more significant than the other two methods have statistically significant. 2.No reports have adverse reactions, showing that Chinese Medicine Decoction treatment of cervical spondylosis of the vertebral artery type is safe.3.The quality ratings that selected 10 literature all are low quality, it shows that the present study design of RCT of Chinese Medicine clinical trial still exist insufficient and lack.needing to bring clinical workers and researchers' attention.
