The Clinical Observation On Treating Pi-Man Of The Type Of Taste Weakness Induced By Cancer Chemotherapy By Heweixiaopi Decoction

Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of Heweixiaopi decoction on treating pi-man of the type of taste weakness induced by cancer chemotherapy and do safety evaluation.Methods:60 patients with criteria in accordance with the principle of patients matched from out-patient clinic and ward were in this clinical research, they were divided into the treatment group and the control group, 30 cases of each. The patients in the treatment group were given 150ml "Heweixiaopitang" at morning and evening for a course of four weeks. The patients in the control group were given 20mg "Domperidone" three times a day for a course of four weeks.Results:Statistical analysis:the treatment group's total effective rate was 93.3%; the control group's total effective rate was 60.0%; the treatment group was more obviously high than the control group and the result had obviously significance (P<0.01). Comparison of TCM symptoms total score, the treatment group:16.40±5.44 scores before treatment,7.90±5.17 scores after treatment; the control group:16.00±5.36 scores before treatment, 11.33±5.12 scores after treatment; Before and after treatment, with significant differences (P<0.01); Comparison between the two groups after treatment, with significant difference (P<0.01). Single symptom compared in the abdominal fullness, inappetence, lassitude and thin pond stool aspects, between the two groups with significant differences(P<0.01, P<0.05), the treatment group was superior to the control group.Safety index aspects in comparison, two groups compared before and after treatment both with no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:1. Heweixiaopi decoction has a fine effect and it is better than Domperidone.2. Heweixiaopi decoction is safe du-ring the trials and has no side effects.
