Objective:Observe the mental health in patients with cerebrovascular accident and the impact of mental health factors. Explore the psychological barrier after cerebral vascular accident on the Treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Method:SCL-90 was used to rate the 50 patients in cerebrovascular accident and the norm of Chinese adults. The neuro-phsychology research was preformed in the patients who had different types of cerebrovascular accident, location in brain and volume.23 post-stroke mental disorder patients were tested in Classification and Determination of Constitution in TCM.Results:1.The total SCL-90 score and factor scores of the patients with cerebrovascular accident were higher than those of the norm of Chinese adults, especially the factor-cores of somatization, depression, anxiety, terror(P<0.01).2.16%~44% patients with cerebrovascular accident would occur mental disorder, and somatization (44%), depression (40%) anxiety(34%) were the common types.3. The total score of left hemisphere stroke was more obvious than the right hemisphere stroke (P<0.05). The total score was more obvious in cases of cortical lesions than the sub-cortical lesions (P<0.05), and was more obvious in front of brain than in post of brain(P<0.05).The total score was more obvious in multiple lesions than in single lesions(P<0.05),and in big lesions than in small lesions(P<0.05). But the total scores were almost the same between the patients with cerebral infarction and those with cerebral hemorrhage(P>0.05).4.Phlegm-damp constitution type(52.2%), blood-stasis constitution type(34.8%), qi-accumulation constitution type(34.8%) and qi-deficiency constitution type(30.4%) were the common constitution types of the patients with Mental disorders after cerebral vascular accident.Conclusion:1. The psychological health level of the patients with cerebrovascular accident was significantly lower than the norm of Chinese adults.2. The incidence of depression in Patients with cerebral vascular accident was 40%, and the incidence of anxiety was 34%.3. The neuropsychological changes are associated with the lesion location, the number of the lications and the area of lesions, but have no close correlation with the lesion nature.4. The principles of treatment of cerebral vascular accident patients with mental disorder was expelling phlegm and blood stasis, and the focus was adjusting and nourishing the liver and the spleen.
