OBJECTIVE:To search the effects of modified constraint-induced movememt therapy(mCIMT) on the aged patients with hemiplegia after stroke ,and to compare the effects of mCIMT with regular exercise therapy and massage technique. In order to improve the objective theoretical basisof mCIMT′s mechanism, and offer more ideal methods of rehabilitation for hemiplegia patients.METHOD:51 hemiplegia the aged patients after stroke are from rehabilitation center of Linyi second people′s hospital ,and randomly divided into three groups: mCIMT group (17cases),RT group(17 cases) and MT group(17 cases). Patients in mCIMT group are given modified constraint-induced movememt therapy, patients in RT group are given regular exercise therapy, patients in MT group are given massage technique therapy. And three groups are just given routine clinical medication at the same time .The patients of three groups are given therapy two times a day ,each time for 40 minutes, and six days a week,8 weeks of treatment for them .We assess limbs motor function by the method of STMA,balance function by BBS,appraise ADL by Barthel index and Psychological emotional by SDS and SAS .All of the patients are assessmented according to the above 5 kinds of evaluation standards at the treatment of initial,Then respectively assessment in the 3,6,8 weeks .Altogether test 4 times. All of the data are expressed as mean plus or minus standard deviation, and were analysed by SPSS 17.0.We adopt the method of One-Way ANOVA among the three groups and analyse the data in every group by means of Repeated Measures.RESULT :The results show that the STMA, Barthel scores ,BBS,SDS and SAS of the mCIMT group and RT group all have significant difference(the p-value<0.05) in their group. The BBS,STMA and Barthel scores of the MT group have significant difference(the p-value<0.05) ,SDS and SAS of the MT group didn't have significant difference(the p-value>0.05) in its group . STMA upper limb movement function ,SDS and SAS in the eighth week , Barthel index in the sixth week and the eighth week ,they are all have significant difference among the three groups (Modified constraint-induced movememt therapy is superior to regular exercise therapy and massage therapy. p<0.05) .The STMA lower limb movement function and BBS didn't have significant difference (p>0.05). The remaining index all didn't have significant difference (p>0.05) except SDS and SAS between the RT and MT. CONCLUSION: This study found that modified constraint-induced movement therapy, regular exercise therapy and massage therapy all have obvious curative effect on hemiplegia the aged patients after stroke ;In upper limb movement function,ADL and psychological emotional of mCIMT all have better than RT and MT,they have significant difference (p<0.05).The modified constraint-induced movement therapy can promote rehabilitation for hemiplegia the aged patients after stroke. As follows:(1) promoting limbs movement function improved ;(2) promoting balance function improved;(3) There are actively improve role for patients'depression and anxiety ;(4) improve ADLfor patients.Because the research sample size is smaller , Be necessary to undertake large sample size clinical test and verify .
