Clinical Research On Comprehensive Therapy Of Chinese Medicine In Children With Henoch-Schonlein Purpura Nephritis

Objective:To evaluate the efficiency and security of Traditional Chinese Medicine to comprehensively treat children with Henoch-Schonlein nephritis(hematuria and proteinuria types), and observe the long-term effects,thus provide a more effective clinical program.Methods:48 cases of in-patient in Jiangsu Hospital of TCM and Nanjing General Hospital of Nanjing Command from Jan.2008 to Aug.2010 that met the criterion of accumulation of Henoch-Schonlein nephritis were selected, according to the random control principle,all subjects were divided randomly into two groups, TCM treatment group (24 cases)and western medicine treatment group(24 case).24 cases of TCM treatment group were treated by TCM comprehensive therapy including tripterygium wilfordii,danshen injection,Chinese herbal medicine particles (Shengdi, Danpi, Chishao, Hanliancao, danshen,Sanqi, XiaoJi, QianCao etc.);24 cases of Western medicine group were given the routine therapy including Ttripterygium Tablets, heparin sodium for injection and Dipyridamole. The course of treatment is 3 months,and the follow-up visit is 3 months.Results:The clinical disease control rate of TCM treatment group is 37.5%,the greater rate is 75%,and the effective rate is 91.7%;the cilinical disease control rate of western medicine group is 12.5%,the greater rate is 45.8%,and the effective rate is 91.7%. Comprising the two groups,the difference between them had a statistically significance(P<0.05). After the treatment, comprising the variations of urinary protein and urinary red blood cell count of two groups, the difference between them had a statistically significance(P<0.05),and on aspects of improving the clinical symptoms,reducing platelet count and adverse reactions, TCM treatment group is better than Western medicine group. Neither of the two groups have serious adverse reactions.Conclusion:Traditional Chinese Medicine comprehensively treating children with Henoch-Schonlein nephritis(hematuria and proteinuria types) has dramatic effects and great securities,and it's worthwile to promote a further application. But for the long-term efficacy needs to be further study.
