Objective: This study was performed to observe the clinical effectiveness of the treatments on patients suffering from dysmenorrhea with ademyosis by stages using HuoXueXiaoZhengFang (HXXZF) and HuaYuZhiTongFang (HYZTF). Their effects on blood-related immune parameters are observed, which is to explore their immunomodulatory effects in patients suffering from dysmenorrhea with ademyosis. Methods: Fifty adenomyosis patients suffering from dysmenorrhea (twenty-six for the treatment group and twenty-four for the control group) were enrolled. The treatment group took HXXZF and HYZTF at stage, while the control group took DanHuangQuYu capsule and SanJieZhenTong capsule at stage. The curative effects and impacts on the size of uterine volume, CA125, EMAb, whole blood T cell subsets and C3, C4 of serum complement were observed. Results: After treatment symptoms of dysmenorrhea of the two groups have been improved and there was a significant difference between the two groups in curative effect(sP<0.05<0.05 or P<0.01). Compared with pre-treatment there were significant reductions in uterine volume (P<0.01) in the treatment group, while there were no significant differences in the control group(P>0.05). There were significant differences between the two group(sP<0.05). The positive rate of EMAb decreased in both groups after treatment(P<0.05), but no significant differences between two groups (P>0.05). The level of CD4 and the ratio of CD4/CD8 were obviously higher than pre-treatment, while CD8 got lower. These differences were significant(P<0.01). The levels of CA125 of the two groups were significantly lower than pre-treatment(P<0.05) and there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). The differences on levels of CD4,CD8, CD4/CD8 between the two groups were significan(tP<0.05 or P<0.01)after treatment. The level of C3, C4 of serum complement got both higher in the two after treatment. The difference on the level of C3 was significant between the two groups(P<0.05), while there was significant difference in the C4 level(P>0.05). Conclusion: HXXZF and HYZTF showed good effects on the treatment in patients suffering dysmenorrhea with ademyosis. They can significantly improve the immune status of patients.
