The Clinical Observation On Perimenopausal Depression Treated With Bushenyangxin Decoction

Objective:To observe the clinical effects of "Bushenyangxin Decoction" in treating the females'perimenopausal depression.Methods:1.subjects:67 patients with the females'permenopausal depression were divided into two groups at random. In the course of treatment the treatment group dropped out one case and the control one dropped two cases.so there were 33 cases in the treatment group and 31 cases in the control.There was no significant difference (P>0.05) between the two group patients in age, course of disease. patients'condition before treatment.2.Treatment and observation methods The patients who in the treatment group took the "Bushenyangxin Decoction" and the ones who in the control group took Nylestriol. Both groups were given three months for drug treatment. Before and after the treatment patients'condition were assessed by HAMD scale, scores of TCM symptom, and, the levels of serum estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH).Result:Bushenyangxin Decoction treated the females" perimenopausal depression that has utmostly clinical effect. The total effective rate after three months of treating is 90.9%.there is significance meaning in the difference between two groups (P<0.05); Bushenyangxin Decoction could decrease HAMA scale and the scores of TCM symptom. There is significant difference between the pretreatment and posttreatment. It means that Bushenyangxin Decoction can Improve symptoms.At last Bushenyangxin Decoction can adjust the hormone levels of patients:the levels of E2 could be significantly improved (P<0.05),and the FSH levels and the LH ones could be significantly decreasedConclusion:"Bushenyangxin Decoction" can treated perimenopausal depression by adjusting the endocrinal hormones. And the effective rate was 90.9%.
