Knee Osteoarthritis(KOA) is one of the most important and prevalent ailments which affect the middle and aged community. Osteoarthritis(KOA)is a form of degenerative knee joint illness. degeneration of knee joint disease, It identifies with the same category of bone-maladies such as "bone-pain", "Pain disease" and "waist-leg pain" within the classification of illnesses under Traditional Chinese Medicine TCMa.As Singapore is a peninsula surrounded by the sea, the weather tends to be hot and humid. The treatment group is prescribed with 20ml of Sang Zhi Hu Zhang and 2 pills of Si Teng Pian everytime, to be taken three times orally on a daily basis, both daytime and at night. The Group for comparison is prescribed with 20ml Fu Fang Si Miao He Ji to be taken three times daily. The two groups are placed on a observation period of two months and to present the effects when the medication runs its course.Results:Results:The outcome of the experiment for the curative process of KOA reveals:The percentage of stabilization and control for the Treatment Group is at 63.3%, the overall effectiveness is at 90%, the same percentage is 23.3% and 76.7% respectively for the Comparison Group. The difference between the two groups is tabulated at P<0.05.In the course of medication, the differentiation of comparison of the levels of treatments, the disease symptoms. the extent of pain, muscles movements capabilities is at P<0.05, a clear indication that the Treatment Group excels over that of the Comparison Group.There is a difference of P<0.05 in the degree of swollen joints for both groups to the Comparison Group.This reveals that the two groups show effective amelioration for their maladies. There is no clear statistical difference P>0.05 for the effects of both groups to the outcome of their treatment.There is marked improvement for both groups in their response to the treatment when measured against the HSS. The degree of comparison is P<0.05, suggesting a better performance for the Treatment Group over that of the Comparison Group when marked against the HSS. Conclusion:The clinical research proves that the Sang Zhi Hu Zhang with Si Teng Pian has effectively eradicates the pains and sufferings of the patients stricken with damp-heat Rheumatism, revealing the compelling benefits of the Traditional Chinese medicine and HSS. However, there is no clear statistical difference in the degree of swollen joints or for the use of the Fu Fang Si Miao San He Ji.
