The Influence Of Tongxieyaofang On The Activation Of Intestinal Mucosal Mast Cell In IBS-D Patients

Objective:To compare the activated level of intestinal mucosal mast cells of the IBS-D patients before and after TongXieYaoFang treatment, and to evaluate its clinical effect on IBS-D objectively.Method:30 patients from inpatient and outpatient department in Jiangsu Provincial Hospital from 2009.Jan to 2010 Dec, who were diagnosed as IBS-D according to Romeâ…¢, were randomized divided into 2 groups,15 patients each.There was no significant difference between two groups in the term of age,gender, course and clinical symptom, and they had comparability.The treatment group were prescribed Modified TongXieYaoFang while the control group were prescribed Pinaverium Bromide Tablets,3 months as a course, no other medicine was permitted. Evaluate the therapeutical effect after 4 courses, and observe the activated ratio of intestinal mucosal mast cells,clinical therapeutical effect and the improvement of main clinical symptom. Statistical method:statistical analysis of the data was performed by SPSS 17.0 software. The differences of the counted and measured data were compared with the chi-square test and t test.Results:Clinical research demonstrates:there is significant difference in total effective rate between two groups,which indicate that the improvement of TCM syndrome and improvement rate of TongXieYaoFang is better than that of Pinaverium Bromide.Experimental research demonstrates:there is positive correlation between the activated rate of intestinal mucosal mast cells and the inflammation of intestinal mucosa.The activated rate of intestinal mucosal mast cells decreased in both groups after the treatment, and the treatment is better than the control group, which indicates the effect of TongXieYaoFang is better than Pinaverium Bromide.Conclusion:The intestinal activated mast cell may plays a key role in the IBS pathophysiological process which characterized by the change of mobility and visceral hypersensitivity, and TongXieYaoFang achieve the treatment of IBS-D by regulating the intestinal mast cell,intestinal mobility and visceral sensitivity.The results show that TongXieYaoFang has significant effect on IBS-D which is better than Pinaverium Bromide, and has no substantial toxic and side effects during the research.Therefore, TongXieYaoFang is a clinical effective medicine on IBS-D.
