A Study On The Feature Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution Of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective:Through investigation methods of clinic epidemiology to get some guidance to make clinic treatment dialectically and Choose more effective schemes of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) therapy, a research in the relationship between rheumatoid arthritis and the TCM constitution was done to seek the characteristics of the distribution of RA in clinic TCM constitution.Methods:The styles of constitution in 300 cases of patients with rheumatoid arthritis which come from Xiamen Hospital of TCM and The First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January 2010 to January 2011 are analysised to learn the distribution of the constitution in the patients with rheumatoid arthritis.Adopt SPSS software to carry on statistical analysis P<0.05 has statistics meanings for the difference.Results1. RA patients'constitution is distributed and seen more with the constitution of dampness and blood stasis constitutions, accounting for 66.67%.2. There are difference between man RA patients and woman RA patients about constitution distribution. Two groups of comparisons with the distribution of constitution is statistically significant(P<0.05).3. RA patients with different classification groups have a constitutional difference between the type of distribution. Four groups of comparisons with the distribution of constitution is statistically significant(P<0.05).4. There is significant difference among the different TCM constitution on the positive and negative probability of anti-CCP. The comparisons with the distribution of constitution is statistically significant(P<0.05).There is no significant difference among the different TCM constitution in the Related laboratory indicators such as RF. The comparisons with the distribution of constitution is not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions1. On the study RA patients with pathological physical the quality of dampness were significantly higher than the other group,that consistenedt with the view of "RA patients had been caused by phlegm and Stasis".2. There are difference between man RA patients and woman RA patients. Man RA patients are mainly concerning constitution of phlegm-dampness, woman RA patients are mainly constitution of blood stasis constitutions, that might have a close inside relativity of innate and acquired..3.The patients' functional classification in the constitution of deficiency of yang are mainly in the stageⅠand the constitution of dampness are mainly in the stageⅡ. Then the patients' constitution of dampness-heat and blood stasis constitutions are mainly in the stageⅢandⅣ,that were more at risk of severe illness and had poor prognosis.4. On the study, the constitution of phlegm-dampness and the constitution of blood stasis had the higher positive probability of anti-CCP, that might have a certain relativity.There is no significant difference among the different TCM constitution in the Related laboratory indicators such as RF.It indicates that these related laboratory indicators reflect the characteristics of RA and be difficult to reflect the TCM constitution features of RA.
