The Therapeutic Effect Of Phellodendron Nose In Treating The Acute Sinusitis

Object:To observe the therapeutic effect of Phellodendron nose in treating the acute sinusitis patients and explore the mechanism of it, so as to find new ideas and effective drugs to treat it. Methods:60 patients, who suffer from the acute sinusitis, were divided into two groups at random. The control group and The treatment group were given same drugs, but the treatment group which involved 30 patients had been aditionally taken Phellodendron nose drop for 7 days. Observe the changes of symptoms, physical signs. Results:After counted with statistics, the clinical observations show that the total effective rate of the treatment group is 86.7%; while the total effective rate of the control group is 83.3%. There is no significant difference between them (P>0.05). The effective of all symptoms and signs were improved quite significantly in the treatment group and the control group (P<0.05). While in the treatment group the effect of the main symptoms and signs are quite significant than that of the control group (P<0.01), there is no difference on other symptoms and signs. Conclusion:Phellodendron nose drop can evidently cure the acute sinusitis by eliminating nasal obstruction, nasal discharge and nasal mucosa engorgement.
