Clinical Research Of Pilon Fracture Treament With L-LCP

Objective: To evaluate the effect of Pilon fracture treatment with L-LCP. Provide the basis for clinical research.Methods: From september 2007 to december 2010,30 patients of closed Pilon fracture were treated surgical treatment with L-LCP by Shandong University of TCM Affilliated Hospital.There were 18 cases male and 12 cases female aging from 21 to 65(mean43.1). According to the AO classifiction, there were 3 cases of B3, 4 cases of C1, 14 cases of C2, 9 cases of C3. The classification of soft tissue injury method based on Tscherne-Gotzen, there were 3 cases of 0°, 11 cases of 1°, 14 cases of 3°, 2 cases of 4°.Full assessment of the fracture and soft tissue damage in preoperative, then to choose a suitable time of surgery. Guide patients to do postoperative rehabilitation training and chinese medicine for external use, All the patients were followed up for 12 months (4~18months).Results: Application the Mazur's criterion of ankle joint, excellent in 13, good in 12, fair in 5, and poor in 0, excellent and good rates was 83.3%. Delayed postoperative wound healing in 1 patient, wound infection in 1 patient, no internal fixation loosening, no nonunion or malunion.Conclusion: Full assessment of the fracture and soft tissue damage in preoperative, then choose a suitable time for application of L-locking compression plate can get a good effectment in Pilon fractures.
