This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of probiotics on growth performance and fecal bacteria of growing pigs. A total 120 of crossed growing pigs (Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire). weighted about 28kg, sorted by weight and gender, were allotted to 5 treatments, with 4 replicates per treatment and 6 pigs per replicate. The basal diet was corn-soybean, without antibiotics and probiotics, which was fed to control group. Antibiotic group was fed with basal diet added 75mg/kg chlortetracycline hydrochloride. GroupⅠwas fed with basal diet added 0.1% probiotics. GroupⅡwas fed with basal diet by added 0.2% probiotics. GroupⅢwas fed with basal diet by added 0.3% probiotics. The results were as follows:(1) Compared with control group, average daily gain of groupⅡwas significantly increased and the feed/gain ration of and groupⅡwas significantly decreased (P<0.05), and its improvement effect on average daily gain and feed/gain ration were equivalent with antibiotic group (P<0.05).It was concluded that the probiotics could improve growth performance of the growing pigs.(2) In contrast to control group, the apparent digestibility of crude protein, ether extract ash, crude fiber, calcium, phosphorus and the utilization of energy of group II were significantly improved (P<0.05). Compared with antibiotic group, the apparent digestibilities of nutrients of groupⅡwere tended to increasebut no significant difference (P>0.05).It was concluded that the probiotics could increase the digestion and absorption of nutrients,so can improve nutrient utilization of the growing pigs(3) Compared with control group, serum IgG of groupⅡwere significantly increased (P<0.05), IgM,ALP and TP had the tend of increasing (P>0.05). Compared with antibiotic group, serum IgG,IgM,ALP and TP were no significantly difference of the growing pigs.(4) It can also improve the micro-ecological environment in the intestine of pigs and proliferate Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium while E coli inhabited. The trial results indicated that it's feasible to replace the antibiotics with probiotics in pigs'diets. the diet added 0.2% probiotics get the best application effect.
