| China is one of the most serious soil erosion countries that is mainly caused by water erosion. Erosion occurred mainly in mountainous, hilly areas, river valleys and the cultivated slope. Slope is the main area of soil erosion.There are more mountainous and hilly in Fujian province. Slope development and utilization are an important, In order to improve the economic benefits of slope utilization and management, slope was developed into garden in many areas. which improved economic efficiency, but mianwhile produced slope soil erosion. Based on the plant experiments and water and soil erosion surveys in Zhangpu science and education park of, water and soil conservation, this research had summarized and optimized slop utilization and management models, and made a slop utilization and management test in Zhangpu county, Zhangzhou city.The main contents are:1 Rainfall characteristics analysis:according to the history records of rainfall data, the history of extreme rainfall events on Zhangzhou city are analyzed, especially space-time distribution of large rainfalls and influences of large rainfalls to agricultural land use system.2 The planting experiments and water and soil erosion surveys in Zhangpu science and education park of, water and soil conservation(1) soil erosion observations in treatment areas:mainly observations of soil erosion under different planting pattern in treatment areas and different rainfall conditions, analyses of soil erosion volume under different planting patterns, and under the same planting patterns and different rainfalls and so on were done, in order to explore the best model of slope utilization.(2) by the different planting comparison test between the built terrace on slops and slopes, to summarize and optimizeslop utilization and management models, and to study the effects of the two erosion control works.3 The test of slope utilization and management in Zhangpu county Zhangzhou CityChoose typical hill slopes, carry out the test of utilization and management, analyze and study the economic benefits, and the effectiveness of prevention and control soil erosion.
