Study On Application Of Distance Education Method In The Animal Science Course

In order to study the effects of network-study and face-to-face tutor(study model 1),TV course or VCD or video recorder, and face-to-face tutor(study model 2), and network-study(study model 3). based on the course animal nutrition and feed and animal genetic and breeding, 115 students from Zhaotong, Jinning, Kunming and Wuding, Chuxiong in Yunnan in animal science major were selected to this experiment. The research may provide some choice in study models to the students according to the fact of distance and open education in Yunnan. Sometime study effects in different models would check service system of distance education in Yunnan. The data was analyzed with variance and covarinace in the research. The results shown:1. When study with the distance education, the study effects of students was different in different district. The total situation was: ZhaotongandJinning were better, and the second was Wuding, all of that had difference between model.2. The result of the variance-covariance shown there was significant difference among different study models. The model 1 was better, then the model 2and the model 3, there was significant difference among the model land the other two models through significant test (P<0.05). and the difference between the model 2 and model 3 was not significant (P>0.05).3. There were different effects for different districts students study with the same model. At three models, the study results was Zhaotong and Jinning were better than Wuding, but the effect of Zhaotong and Jinning was not significant difference (P>0.05).4. The result used the three models for the same district was that the model 1 was better, then the model 2and the model 3, but the model 2 and model 3 had not significant difference at three districts (P>0.05).5. As far as the present situation in Yunnan Province, for network-study and face-to-face tutor, TV-teaching (or use VCD, video recorder) and face-to-face tutor and network-study, although the study results had difference in different districts, we also can judge that, as to the students who have the condition of network-study, especially who have good foundation and can use computer well, the effect of model 1 was the best; and the students who don't have the condition of network-study, can use the model 2; as to the present internal situation of the distance education, students can't study by net themselves lonely, and must have the aid of face-to-face tutor, and so on.
