Acidosasa edulis was a feature of fine bamboo species,which was successful intrduced and domesticated by Forestry Research Institute of Lishui City for years.In order to provide references for increasing the economic benefits of Acidosasa edulis and promoting rapid and healthy development of the industry, biological characteristics of Acidosasa edulis, planting technology and fertilization techniques, the cultivation techniques of Acidosasa edulis were reviewed and improved in allusion to the low survival rate, the low degree of standardization, the low efficiency for the concentrated shoots harvest stage and so on,which were prevalent in current productions.Based on the researches of biological characteristics of Acidosasa edulis,results show that Acidosasa edulis adaptable,drought-resistant, low temperature-resistant of minus 10 degrees,was suitable for planted on the mountains in southwest of Zhejiang below 800m sea level, and it could postpone the shooting period and improve economic efficiency when planting areas are at higher elevations. Acidosasa edulis shoots with good quality, high yield, not obvious unstable yielding, beautiful appearance, is a multipurpose fine bamboo specie of high economic value. The rhizome growth period was from May to September, and the bifurcations were not very common,and almostly not when it was still young. Therefore,deep plowing, timely rhizome broken, rational fertilization were appropriate for the fine structure of the underground system, improving the utilization of bamboo shoots and the aim of being forest quickly and high yield.Experiments on planting technology of Acidosasa edulis were conducted based on diefferent collected methods and management techniques,results show that it should be selected the rainy days for long-haul transport planting because of Acidosasa edulis with dense foliage and transpiration capacity.It was suitable for being widely applied in the future afforestation that using a clump of two implicated parent body of bamboo forest on cloudy day and digging,planting on the same day for the survival rae was 98%.According to the biological characteristics and actual production experiences of Acidosasa edulis, different fertilizer treatments were set for experiments. Results showed that different fertilization treatments had a marked effect on the yield and economic effectiveness. With fertilization four times a year, the average shoot yield could reach 19,650 kg/hm2, the average annual output value and net income chould reach 59,000 yuan/hm2 and 40,300 yuan/hm2. It should be vigorously promoted in the fast growing and high-yield forest of Acidosasa edulis.Based on experimental researches and production practices in the past years,it produced several cultivation techniques summarizes of Acidosasa edulis, mainly including afforestation technology, young forest management,productive technology and production application.
