With the launching of the national smart grid construction, the construction of the information collection system is also in full swing. Power line carrier communication technology has the unparalleled advantage of the convenient, maintenance-free reliability, economy, plug and play, get a wide range of applications in the information collection system, in particular, FSK, PSK, OFDM modulation mode carrier communication technology has been widely used.. However, with the popularity of the power line carrier communication technology, performance evaluation of different carrier communication technology, the future direction of the power line carrier communication technology has also become the focus of attention.This paper briefly introduces the concept of smart grid, the relevant principles of the power line carrier communication technology and the information collection system in a typical application..
