Study On The Small Garden Design Of The Homesite Greenbelt In Changsha Urban Residential Area

As the urban environment problem is becoming increasingly conspicuous, the citien's desire of returning to the nature has beening strong, and with the coming of the agedness society of Chinese, the elders'experience of gardening activities will be the healthy needs. Now potted flowers can be seen everywhere in the urban housing district, some people even land out a little scope in the homesite greenbelt of public green lands to grow fruits and vegetables that is a microgarden, but the view is all in a mess and the ornamental value is not high. Therefor, amiming at the problem that in urban residential area of old people willing to engage in doing the activities and growing flowers in private outdoor area at will, the author through the reseearch methods of documents, information consulting, investigations of Changsha and comparative analysis intend to find out the effective solutions to practice. Main findings are:Firstly.considering the severe issue of urban environment, one of the green area is small, the author puts forward the concept of the small garden of the homesite greenbelt with public green lands and enjoy private sector. The small garden allow citizen to plant flowers around a relatively small scope in the residential area. in order to provide the gardeners a sector for leisure and the basic premises.Secondly, according the design principles of individuation, openness and cultural knowledge, the author puts forward the main points in design of the small garden design:landform design, plant design, the main points of the facilities design and offers a theoretical foundation for a garden design practice.Lastly.according to common ways of design, the author proposed several design patterns:the shed frame design, the flower desktop design, the landscape design, the potted landscape design, the flowers in clusters design, the flower border design, there are several design patterns. which guidance the small garden effectively.Creating beautiful garden in the homesite greenbelt make the people can close nature, the small garden is also able to make people healthy and harmony, and regulate peoples'emotions. Grow various plants in the small garden can let the elders do the experience by themselves and enjoy their life.
