Under the background of increasingly competitive of global manufacturing, the production mode of industry has run to the flexible manufacturing mode.The plant facility layout design is one of the most important research aspects of flexible manufacturing mode,The plant facility layout design problem for the reconflgurable production mode based on the theory of agile manufacturing is studied in the article.In the first,a mathematic model of plant facility layout is built and be solved by inspired algorithm.This paper researches on the layout of the model equipment, as well as equipment layout model for the genetic algorithm optimization, which has a very important practical significance.Firstly,a mathematic model is built and solved in the paper.All of the requests,conditions and optimized goal of plant facility layout design are analyzed, and a mathematic model is built, then an appropriate solution algorithm is selected according to the characteristics of mathematic model.The improved genetic algorithm is applied to solve the plant layout design problem according to its characteristics.Secondly,the genetic algorithm is studied and improved. As one of bionic and heuristic algorithm, genetic algorithm is widely used in all kinds of layout problems. The flexible plant facility layout design is a special kind of layout design problem, which raised higher requirements to the algorithm. The float code arategy GA is selected in the article and its parameters are also studied, so as to find out the influence of each parameter to the computing convergence process.At last, an example is given to improve the layout of the effectiveness of the equipment, and the programming process of genetic algorithm is achieved in the Matlab7.8.
