Transport capacity is the core index for the construction and operation of rail transit; it is the key measurement for the quality of a line. This thesis studies the transport capacity of urban rail transit by simulation, and builds a simulation system directed towards transport capacity. Through the simulation of real line, the simulation system can get the transport capacity of this line and the bottleneck that restricts the transport capacity. The simulation system can be used as a computer-aided tool for the designers and researchers.Based on the summary and analysis of previous results, this thesis introduces object oriented modeling UML to standardization describe the system binding the characteristics of the system. This thesis implements the design and development of the system by model driven. What's more, this thesis studies and discusses the system through the whole software life cycle.Firstly, this thesis analyzes and designs the system with the use of UML in detail, builds the use case model, static model, interactive model and implementation model, and designs the fully functional rail transport capacity simulation system from aspects of infrastructure management, simulation management, simulation strategy management and capacity assess management. Then this thesis develops all modules of the system in Eclipse platform, and designs the blocking time model in the simulation system. Urban rail transport capacity simulation system assesses the transport capacity based on the method of compressing blocking times.Last, this thesis simulates Beijing subway Yizhuang line with the using of urban rail transport capacity simulation system, compares the simulation data with the real data of Yizhuang line, and assesses the credibility of the system from the aspects of simulation and capacity assessing. The result shows that this system has high credibility.
