The Research On Spatial Layout Optimization In The Background Of Urban-Rural Integration

Promoting urban-rural integration is an important strategy in building a harmonious socialist society. Urban-rural integration has a rich content, including economy, society, ecology, etc. However, plans and arrangements of these areas cannot be implemented without spatial layout. The spatial layout not only has an extensive and close relation with economy and society, but also has a unique discipline in itself, which conversely would impact social and economic development profoundly; thereby affect urban-rural integration process. Therefore, the thesis mainly discusses the strategy of urban-rural integration from the perspective of spatial analysis.Most areas in China are now showing significant dualization in spatial layout, that is, urban areas possess compact spatial layout and excellent facilities, in contrast, rural areas have loose spatial structure and poor facilities. In the meantime, urban-rural relationship is not close enough, the internal spatial system has not build up an organic whole, as a result, the material exchange between urban area and rural area is lagged.The essence of urban-rural integration lies in eliminating negative impact caused by urban-rural dual structure from different areas such as economy, society, spatial layout and so on, thus, urban-rural dual structure is also the starting point and foundation in spatial integration research. Broad urban-rural area contains a large amount of spatial elements. However, in terms of the elements that have important impact on urban-rural integration's development, they are actually self-contained spatial units, which run through urban and rural area, furthermore, they show significant dual-structure feature because of urban-rural dual structure's development. Basing on this point, the thesis chooses seven spatial elements (urban–rural system structure, residential area, industrial layout, traffic network, infrastructure, social facilities and ecologic system structure) for deeper analysis in order to find out their layout discipline and impact on urban-rural integration's development. After that, the thesis takes Huaibei City urban-rural integration planning as an example, resting primary theoretic analysis on the local practical planning project. Basing on the previous theoretic and practical analysis, the thesis finally summarizes some practical experience for urban-rural integration planning, that is, the planning should be applicable to local situation, should highlight the systematicness and hierarchy of spatial layout, important spatial elements need to be arranged concretely and deeply. The purpose of this thesis is to find a new way for studying urban-rural integration, to enrich the research findings of the exploration of urban-rural integration in the area of spatial reconstruction and planning, and in the meantime, to provide other similar areas with useful reference.
