The development of Mass Customization(MC) mode during recent years has received extensive attention by the manufacturing industry. As a new mode of production, it can reduce the cost of products and shorten the delivery time. Moreover, it can meet the customer's personal requirements and effectively improve the products'competitiveness in market. The keys to achieving the MC are modular technology and product configuration technology, the integration of which will significantly influence the development of MC. Therefore, the research on configuration management of modularized product for MC bears great significance.Currently, due to the rapid development of domestic electric power industry, the demand of superior performance in the transmission and distribution equipment is soaring. Meanwhile, Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS) has been widely used for its advantage of excellent insulation properties, small requirement of space, little influence under different environmental conditions, high reliability and so on. Because of a huge increase in needs, a large number of manufacturers, and a quick process of product modification, the 126KV GIS has become the focus of high-voltage switch industry. This thesis is based on the Yunnan Province's innovation of science and technology plan—"Yunnan KaiGuanChang High-low Voltage Switchgear Equipment Design and Manufacture Coordinated Integrated Demonstration Engineering(2008AA012)" and takes the ZF□-126 GIS, products of Yunkai Electric Group, as the research object.After introduction to the background, definitions, classifications, principles, and supporting technologies of MC, this research study on the principles and methods of product configuration. Based upon the structure and function of the product as well as the modular design technology, this thesis builds a three-dimensional model of ZF□-126 GIS on the Inventor platform. Then depending on the concept of correlation matrix, it proposes the processes of algorithm of modularized product configuration based on the correlation matrix, and establishes the correlation matrix between each module of ZF□-126 GIS. After that, this thesis researches on the product configuration rules, and focuses on the construction method of product configuration model based on these rules. This thesis also researches on the configuration rules of ZF□-126 GIS and establishes the corresponding rule library. Using the decision table technology, it establishes the configuration solving model of ZF□-126 GIS. Finally, by using the theory of rule-based configuration solving model, this thesis designs and develops the system prototype of product configuration management with Web-based and customer-oriented function. Moreover, this thesis applies such kind of system to ZF□-126 GIS to make customer achieve rapid configuration of products and enterprise manager realize configuration management, and provides reference to related enterprises on the implement of configuration management.
