With the progress of science and technology,as well as economic development,the customer personalized requirements improve constantly. the requirements ofmodern enterprise have already can not be met by the traditional way of massproduction. It is gradually replaced by mass customization production. As animportant part of the mass customization, product configuration is the core technologyand enabled to fast customization for the product. In order to realize the problem ofhow to quick and effective response to customer demand. The research on modularproduct configuration design method for customer-centered mass customization wasresearched. It mainly included module partition, the main process and productconfiguration method based on constraint satisfaction problem. the specific content isas follows:(1) the research background and significance Elaborated in this paper. theresearch status of mass customization and product configuration were discussed, andthe related theory and method of product configuration has carried on the inductionsummary, the existing shortages in product configuration were pointed out.(2) Thtough the analysis on customer needs, and the correlation betweencomponents, four correlation criterion were constructed, and there are customerdemand correlation evaluation criteria, evaluation criteria, evaluation criterion,structure correlation function correlation life cycle correlation evaluation criteria. Andfour kinds of module partition adjustment rules were put forward. Then, the analytichierarchy process (ahp) used to determine the weight coefficient of each criterion.According to the above the related theory and method, the similarity matrix ofcomponents and parts were established, and the fuzzy clustering tree established aswell. And based on the above, the fuzzy clustering method was used to make module partition on product. Finally, in order to verify the feasibility of this method, thebridge crane bridge was used to making module partition.(3) the content and the key technology of product configuration were introduced,through an analysis of existing product configuration system, a product configurationdesign based on modular process was put forward. Taking bridge crane as an example,the product model database was built.(4) The mapping relations between the product configuration problem and theconstraint satisfaction problem was built, and an overview of the commonly usedalgorithms was made. Combination of binary decision diagram and arc consistencyalgorithm is proposed based on binary decision diagram the product configurationalgorithm without back. Binary decision diagram was combined with arc consistencyto form a new without backtracking algorithm, which could used to solve the productconfiguration problem.(5) According to above research method and theory, taking the bridge crane as anexample, a prototype product configuration system based on Web was built to provethe feasibility and validity of this research method from the Angle of the practicalapplication.
