The Research On On-Campus Cultural Comunication Space

An on-campus cultural exchange centre, the predominant spiritual space and a significant element of on-campus architecture, is the exact location where knowledge is born and acquired, where skills are developed. Moreover, it is a concourse for cross school academic communication and student-student or teacher-student interaction.As an innovation, an on-campus cultural exchange is distinguished from conventional approaches, hens, beside the functions on day-to-day basis, more required in artistic prospect. Wu Jicheng Academic Exchange Centre of Kunming University of Science and Technology is the object of study. Through analysis of the change of educational approaches and the need of architectural space of a cultural exchange centre, thanks to the design theory of public space and interior design theory, this article elaborates,form behaviour, psychological and esthetic aspect,the directive significance of cultural exchange centres to spacial artistic research.lt also argues that, as space concerning politics, technology, economy and culture,a on-campus cultural exchange centre needs to possess both significant hylic and spiritual value.To introduce the guiding function to building on-campus cultural exchange centres, school reputation, this article also provides correlative references. Concerning that the development of on-campus cultural exchange centres is quite limited comparing to other realms of architecture, for grounds of argument, this article enumerates mainly cases in Yunnan Province as well as national and world wide.
