The ocean is an very important area for human being. With the development of human civilization, human's consumption of resource has significant growth. Human have to know, develop and take advantage of the ocean for furtuer development. Underwater acoustic communication is a very challenging research topic in the research of ocean development. As the water acoustic channel is a very complex space - time - frequency-dependent parameter random multipath transmission channel, coupled with its high environmental noise, narrow bandwidth, low applicable carrier frequency, delay in transmission and many other negative factors which exacerbate the difficulties of anti-multipath interference. To achieve low bit error rate and high data rate is still very difficult, thus acoustic communication technology has become today's most complex communications technologies.Based on a set of acoustic response using to the AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) self-help system, this thesis introduces the composition of the system and signal as well as the whole working process, analyzes the circuit of coding and its principle, and also proposes proposes the software frequency coding, which is based on a large scale of logic devices FGPA(Field-programmable gate array). Under the circumstances of QuartusⅡ, by comparing with the original digital circuits realization, using the verilog language HDL(Hardware—Description—Language)and the parametric programming method which realizes the software frequency coding in FPGA improves the reliability and integration of the acoustic response system, reduces power, and strengthen the scalability of the system.By simulation on coding programing using development software and test of frequency and coding on development board, the theisi achives desigred goals. In subsequent research, to further verify the effect of improving, the thesis also makes circuit board integrated with AUV. It is foreseeable that the maturity of underwater acoustic communication technology will lead to on-going development of marine science and its equipment development.
