Application And Development Of Karesansui Gardening In Modern Landscape Architecture

Modern Japanese Garden respects for traditional culture. And it inherits the essence of old culture. Also, it is brave and innovative. It constantly explores to find the combination with modern technology to develop itself, and becomes the emergence of new type of modern Garden. By combing the development process of the Japanese Garden, the thesis summarized the reasons of transformation of their gardens from classic to modern. The thesis took history as the axis, and the traditional elements of the Japanese Garden as the context to analyze and summarize the evolution of the traditional elements. At the same time, the spiritual content of the Japanese Garden were summarized. The thesis summarized the traditional elements including water, plants, rocks, constructions and the spiritual content including cultural, ways of thinking, Confucian thought and philosophy, aesthetic thought. And the thesis summarized and detailed of the four aspects of classification such as water, rocks, constructions and cultural ideology.
