As an important thermal equipment in the circulatory cooling system of the thermal power plant, the cooling performance of cooling tower directly impact on condenser vacuum, thereby affecting the unit energy consumption and power generation efficiency, closely related with the operation economy of power plants. In the past, energy-saving problem of cooling tower of the thermal power plant are often overlooked,while vigorously promoting energy conservation in power plant today, the study of efficiency of thermal power plant cooling towers has important practical significance.By taking wet type natural-draft reverse-flow hyperbolic cooling tower as the research object, referring to the basic thermal system of the 300MW thermal power unit, and following the modeling rules of the cooling tower, then combined the parameter calculation used in the design of the cooling tower model and the calculation of the aerodynamic characteristics, the structure size and system of the cooling tower model was determined, an experimental Equipment of the circulation water cooling system was finally made.By taking ventilation and circulating water flow, two of the main factors affecting the cooling efficiency of the cooling tower, as main research objects, the cooling performance test of the circulating cooling water were carried out to analyze the internal flow field of the cooling tower and the cooling performance. Then, based on the experimental research of fan take power and circulation flow, the numerical analysis of the cooling tower's aerodynamic field was made to analyze the influence of the change of the ventilation and environmental crosswind speed on internal flow field, and the difference of cooling temperature. According to the contrast between the simulation and the experimental results, the numerical analysis method was proved right, and the influence of crosswind on internal flow field and the cooling performance was evaluated.Based on the effect of crosswind to feature section flow field uniformity and cooling performance of cooling tower, , the definition of feature section airflow distribution uneven coefficient was developed, calculation method was given, and it can be used as an indicator for evaluating cooling efficiency.
