Based on existing topology optimization research, level set function was employed to develop the optimization mechanical model for isotropic material. Penalty function method was used for structural topology optimization computation. After the design of digital optimization, the digital manufacture of optimization design result was studied for innovation.After acquisition of the optimized results, MATLAB was applied to input the optimized point cloud data of high-dimension level function set into structure database. Triangular patch method was proposed to approximate optimized level set surface. Patch edge equation was used to achieve the extraction of optimized result boundary, and location scanning method was employed to sort boundary data. According to the standards of digital manufacture, the data extracted was programmed for digital manufacture of the optimized structure. Eventually, the workpiece made by wire cutting technology proved the feasibility of the method and the process proposed in this paper. The innovative research was as follows:(1) Based on level set and penalty function method, optimization mechanical model of isotropic material was established.(2) Triangular patch method was proposed for the first time to approximate optimized level set surface and extract boundary point cloud data of designed result.(3) Location scanning method was proposed to sort the extracted boundary point cloud data according to different boundary curves.(4) Taking characteristic of digital manufacture into account, the sorted boundary data was converted into digital manufacture program.(5) NC-Viewer was used to simulate the manufacture process and verify the correctness of program written for manufacture. Finally, the design program was input into digital machine to complete the manufacture.
