Recently, the civil aircraft has a rapid development in our country, which takes the airworthiness specification as the primary consideration. As a core component of the aircraft, the landing gear bear large-load. So, how to verify the strength of the landing gear meet the requirements is very important. In this paper, the landing gear of the Seagull 300 aircraft is taken as a research object, the static strength of it is researched through the simulation analysis and static test based on the airworthiness specification.The structure of main landing gear and nose landing gear were researched, and then the FEM models of them were built. The loading conditions and boundary conditions were built based on the actual loads. Then the Nastran software was used to calculate the strength of the FEM model. The result showed that the nose landing gear of the aircraft satisfied the requirements of the static strength and the part between the rocker and pillar in the main landing gear is the weakest part because of the high stress.The loading system and measuring system of static test were designed based on the airworthiness specification, and the test fixture design was completed. After the facility was verified and approved, the test was carried out. The nose landing gear passed the test successfully and the main landing gear was damaged in the test. The result showed that the nose landing gear meets the requirements of the static strength and the main landing gear should be modified.After the study, the modified main landing gear passed the static test. The results of the static test and the simulation were compared and the result showed that the trend of them was consistent, and the simulation work can avoid reference value. The research not only avoids technical support for airworthiness certification of landing gear, but also avoids guidance for airworthiness certification test of the same type of civilian aircraft.
