The development of steam turbine fault diagnosis technology has made great progress over the past several decades.But with the development of power technology,the electricity power enterprise has also put forward higher requirements for turbine shaft online monitoring and faule diagnosis technology.In this paper,a turbine shaft online monitoring and faule diagnosis system has been researched and developed with the LabVIEW virtual programming language ,which based on experiments.Firstly,the common types of shaft faule and their repective symptoms were summarized,and the common methods of signal analysis and fault diagnosis techniques were compared.All of these provided a theoretical basis for the development of the system.Secondly, the design of the system's hardware and software,which included rotor test bed,eddy current sensors,data acquisition card selection,installation and commissioning has been completed,as well as the choices of language LabVIEW virtual instrument.The development of online monitoring and data analysis system has also been completed,which included the preparation of procedures about continuous data collection,data storage,data read timing,the data wavelet noise reduction,time domain analysis and HHT transform, and the design of the overall user interface.Moreover, the axis of trajectory,frequency spectrum which were suitable for field application has been drawed,and then the fault symptoms extracted have been extracted.At last the fuzzy set theory has been analyzed and the turbine fault diagnosis fuzziness has been discussed .A fuzzy fault diagnosis system has been development which used the maximum membership degree principle of the fuzzy logic diagnosis theory and a fuzzy relation matrix established by the relationship between the turbine faults and their symptoms.The system can be used for diagnosis the possibility of the fault,and ultimately realize the fault diagnosis for turbine shaft. The layout and installation design of the test points for the actual unit has been done,which has completed the theoretical work of the application with the system.
