This essay analyzed the method about the fault diagnosis of wind turbine's transmission system. This method is also analyzed in detail according to the present domestic and overseas research situation. And the paper applies the virtual instrument technology (Ⅵ technology) and the graphical programming language LabVIEW8.5of American National Instruments Corporation (NI) as a software development platform, trying to develop a wind turbine condition monitoring system for transmission. Finally, the paper detailed analysis their specific operational status based on the vibration signal.The paper comprises three key components:common fault analysis of wind turbine, the practical application of fractal theory in fault diagnosis, and the realization of fault diagnosis system based on Lab VIEW. Based on the vibration of gear box parts, the paper analyzed the vibration signal acquisition. Selecting their characteristic values and applying the fractal theory to complete fractal dimension calculation. Among the many fractal dimensions, eventually we choose the correlation dimension. The correlation dimension is sensitive to the non-homogeneity of an attractor. Use it for non-linear fault feature extraction. Based on the correlation dimension calculation, we put forward the concept of distance function, to facilitate the application of correlation dimension to the system running and fault judgment. And find out the fault reason.At last, the paper used the graphical programming language Lab VIEW as development platform. Simulate the analyzing and processing procedure about vibration signal. Its purpose as long as it is for the quantitative analysis of vibration signal acquisition. Its main purpose is to the quantitative analysis of vibration signal acquisition. And display the data in chart form. And then store the data to the database. According to the analog signal simulation, it verified the system's operability. Indicates that the system has an in-depth study and improve the value of its field application.
