Study On Design For Outside Space Of Characteristic Commercial Blocks

Refer to the urban development of the West, the rapid urbanization of China is in progress, and lots of new towns are in construction. Because of the sufficient land and convenient transportation in the new towns, it's easy to plan and construct commercial facilities together for the government. With the ability to effectively promote the new town development, and highlight the city's character, enrich and shape the city's image to attract tourism, characteristic commercial blocks are widespread welcome. But, characteristic commercial blocks are under the levels mixed. Therefore, the design and construction of characteristic commercial blocks need appropriate theoretical guidance. This article studies on design for outside space of characteristic commercial blocks from the perspective of urban public space, activities of human behavior based on psychological characteristics.This article analyzes the features, space and transport properties of characteristic commercial blocks, and states four goals of design for outside space of characteristic commercial blocks: human contact space, which contains the order of sequence space, endowed with the spirit of place of traditional experience of space and space for local culture, and puts forward strategies for the target. Finally, the article analysis of the "canal city" commercial districts in Zaozhuang , Ligongdi Commercial Street in Suzhou, and Suzhou Times Square. Full-text is divided into six chapters:Chapter One: The background, purpose, significance, concepts and objects were defined, and domestic and foreign research was reviewed and analyzed.Chapter Two: The developments of commercial districts are outlined, while the features, benefits of characteristic commercial blocks are analyzed.Chapter Three: First, the types of outside space of characteristic commercial blocks elements were summarized. Then, the behavior of characteristic commercial blocks outside space is studied. Finally are the principles of design for outside space of characteristic commercial blocks.Chapter Four: Based on the foregoing analysis, the four objectives and corresponding strategies of design for outside space of characteristic commercial blocks are raised.Chapter Five: Analysis three characteristic commercial blocks in China.Chapter Six: Summary of results, analysis of lack and future trends.
