Research On Traffic Impact Analysis Of Large-scale Social Events For Large City

With the continuous development of economy of our country, people's material and cultural needs growing quickly too .More and more large-scale social events held in our cities such as star concerts.These events were enriched people's material and cultural needs produced tremendous economic and social profits, as well brought some serious problems such as traffic jams and accidents. How to analyze the traffic impact of events to avoid traffic jams is one problem of most concern for organisers and traffic managers. It is very necessary to research on traffic impact analysis of large-scale social events for the large city.The related methods and contents of traffic impact analysis of large-scale social events were studied and discussed in this thesis though consulted construction project traffic impact analysis methods and process based on the traffic characteristics of large-scale social events. Firstly, the global study were reviewed.Traffic characteristics and participant components of large-scale social events were analyzed, then distribution models were improved and established in this thesis according to the travel and distribution characteristics of local audience and non-local audience . The traffic mode split and assignment of large-scale social events were discussed in this thesis too .Then the determining methods of threshold, impact zone and the specific analysis methods of traffic facilities impact were discussed deeply. The experience of traffic organization and management was summarized and the strategies about traffic problems of large-scale social events were explained in this thesis .Finally, a star concert as an example was took traffic impact analysis. The results show that these methods and models are reasonable and reliable.It has important instruction meaning and consulting meaning, can provide decision-making basis for traffic managers when the same style large-scale social events held in future.
