In the new situation, how to build a new socialist countryside becomes a new topic.Based on the new countryside planning and architectural design for research object in the northwest of Henan Province, the rural regions of jiyuan, jiaozuo rural, for example; from residential living environment Angle, based on researcsh, and combining the successful experience of the construction of new countryside at home and abroad and through the research of the local traditional houses shape and main characteristics, the paper analyzes the successful practices in the layout, modelling, the cultural connotation. Through the analysis of various influence factors on the rural construction in the northwest of Henan Province (social economic development and regional natural conditions and peasants life style, overall development mode), the paper draws a conclusion that the new rural construction is not only restricted by the regional conditions but also closely related to the social economic development, the farmers' living style and overall development model. In the new rural construction we must make sure of the traditional and modern, the coordination of rural and urban to plan as a whole, the harmony of construction and ecological.Hence, this paper puts forward the new rural regions planning in the northwest of Henan Province should be laid out according to the different geographical environment and humane environment, and in the plain area we should adopt centralized ribbon layout, group layout and multicenter layout. In the hill country and hilly areas we should use freestyle layout. New rural residential construction should be combined with the local life tradition and ecological conditions, adapted to the local rural multilayer residence and the front yard type, QianHouYuan type, QianHouYuan plus side courtyard type layout. New rural ecological construction should develop green energy, such as solar energy, methane, the rainwater collection technology. We should adopt the development of suitable for local building energy-saving measures, such as controling architecture configuration, strengthening the maintenance structure heat preservation and using adobe brick. Make full use of plant virescence, and vigorously promot energy-saving lamps.
