Based on the actual bridge project, taking the cable-stayed bridge as the research object, by analysis its characteristic, the health monitoring system combining with artificial inspection of the bridge is put forward to solve the disadvantage of not enough coverage and durability problem of health monitoring system. In addition, the distribution of measure point of health monitoring system is designed. The detail items and frequencies of artificial inspection are given. Finally the bridge maintenance management system is developed. The main research contents:(1) According to the analysis of the structure dangerous and the environment conditions of the bridge, the monitor items and positions are designed. Based on the results of analysis of finite element software and the related design parameters, the corresponding sensors are selected and the bridge real-time health monitoring project is proposed.(2) Base on the real-time health monitoring project, the artificial inspection project which mutual complementation for Structure monitoring is put forward. It identifies the examining contents, frequencies and methods, and covers the shortage of the not enough for Structure monitoring.(3) Accord to bridge construction monitoring data and artificial inspection results, the bridge health evaluation methods are put forward and the bridge maintenance management system is established to save the design data of the bridge as well as the monitor and inspection data. With the existing highway designing standard, the bridges evaluation interface is designed which can fulfill the requirements of monitor, inspection, management and maintenance during the operation of bridge.Based on the analysis of the bridge structure and environment as well as the characteristics of structure, the bridge monitor maintenance project which combines with artificially inspection section is proposed. Therefore it has the advantages of certain pertinence, reliability and comprehensiveness. The safety of the bridge is protected in operation period.
