Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is the largest, longest land border, theprovinces of the neighboring countries, resources are relatively abundant, but in aridregions, the ecological environment is fragile, the sustainable use of water resourcesof the region has great significance.The ecological footprint is a measurement of regional sustainable developmentmethod, which since2000was introduced to China, causing widespread concern andresearch of scholars. Based on the study of traditional ecological footprint, accordingto the ecological footprint model in water resources, the establishment of waterresources in Xinjiang Ecological Footprint model on water ecological footprint of15administrative regions of Xinjiang in2010and2001-2010water resources in XinjiangThe ecological footprint of the indicators were calculated and analyzed, the resultsshow that: In the Xinjiang region of production(1) water footprint, water footprint of the primary industry reached more than60%of the average regional primary industry water ecological footprint ratio97.11%of the total production of water; Xinjiang production and living water and total waterresource ecological footprint, Aksu and Kashgar water ecological footprint far beyondthe other regions.(2) Xinjiang regional ecological carrying capacity of water resources and waterresources per capita ecological carrying capacity of contrast, the Ili KazakAutonomous Prefecture Altay region is much higher than other parts; to engravedErke Zi Autonomous Prefecture of water kizilsu In addition to the Ili KazakAutonomous Prefecture ecological surplus, other regions have different degrees ofwater ecological deficit, which the Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture ecologicalsurplus of water resources has a strong capacity for sustainable development; Kashi and Aksu Prefecture ecological deficit is the most serious, the local water resourcesThe development and utilization of strength far beyond the local water resources andecological carrying capacity.(3) Urumqi and Karamay City yuan GDP water efficiency,10,000yuan of GDPin the lowest water use efficiency; regions Apart from the Ili Kazak AutonomousPrefecture, the ecological pressure of water resources index is greater than1, which,Shihezi City Karamay City The index of ecological stress, the pressure index valuesrespectively1542and361.(4) Although the Xinjiang region for10years beyond the ecological carryingcapacity of water resources utilization of water resources, ecological deficit remainedwithin a certain range, there is no increasing trend year by year, so in a relativelysustainable development of the state; but in some areas utilization of water resourcesin an unsustainable state.Projection pursuit classification of a comprehensive evaluation of the Xinjiangregional water use efficiency, the main results are as follows:Hami, Urumqi, Karamay City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture and otherplaces(5) the highest water use efficiency, water efficiency minimum of Kashi, Altayregion and Hotan Prefecture.
