| The ecological footprint model is a quantitative method which is widely used in ecological carring capacity research. The ecological footprint model, footprint depth and footprint size indicators are applied to the quantitative study of ecological carring capacity and measure the consumption of nature capital. This is of great significance to correctly understand the urban ecological carring capacity and promote sustainable development.Excessive mining of coal resources, environalment pollution and surface subsidence caused by coal mining have caused rapid decline in ecological carring capacity, and the ecological pressure has increased rapidly, affecting the sustainable development of the region.Based on the Statistical Yearbook and the survey data of Huainan, ecological footprint model was used to calculate the ecological carrying capacity,three-dimensional ecological footprint, ecological footprint depth and ecological footprint size from 2007 to 2014.Meanwhile,we analyzed dynamic changes and composition of these indicators during the study period, and explored the driving factors of the three-dimensional ecological footprint.Based on the "PSR" model,we selected 21 indicators to establish evaluation system to evaluate the ecological security of Huainan City.Based on the above results,we put forward suggestions for the sustainable development of Huainan City. The main results of this study are as follows.1.From 2007 to 2014,the per-capita ecological-carrying capacity of Huainan dropped down from 0.2456ha/cap to 02374ha/cap.Among its components, cropland accounts for more than 62%.Cropland was the main undertaker of ecological carrying capacity in Huainan City. The construction land accounts for about 22%,ranking behind.2.From 2007 to 2014,the three-dimensional ecological footprint of Huainan City increased from 3.1838 ha/cap to 8.1764 ha/cap,with annual growth rate of 12.54%.The fossil fuels ecological footprint accounted for more than 90%of the ecological footprint which was the major contributor.Cropland was behind it.The trend of the three-dimensional ecological footprint was opposite to the ecological carrying capacity.Correspondingly, the per capita ecological deficit in Huainan City increased to 8.4706 ha in 2014.From 2007 to 2014,the per capita ecological footprint depth in Huainan City continued to increase. The per capita ecological footprint depth increased from 15.5069 ha/cap to 35.4664 ha/cap.The results indicate that Huainan needs an area of 35 times of existing ecological productive land to ensure region sustainable development. The per capita footprint size increased from 0.1620 ha/cap to 0.1863 ha/cap in seven years, indicating that the occupation of natural capital flow in Huainan City is increasing. The use of nature-resource has exceeded the speed of natural resource regeneration. And then, consumption of capital stock was increased, implying an unsustainable development. The correlation between the integrated value of the target layer and the per capita three-dimensional ecological footprint indicated that the three-dimension ecological was driven by economic development, environment pollution and regional exchange.Social development and ecological environment construction slowed down its growth.3.We used the "pressure-state-response" model to establish the ecosystem safety assessment system and evaluate the ecological the ecological security status of Huainan City from 2007 to 2014.In the system, the weights of pressure layer and response layer were 0.3740 and 0.3348.During the study period, the state of ecological security in Huainan City has been declinig, shifting from the general state of security to the more unsafe state, which was consistent with the trend of pressure layer. From 2007 to 2014,the state layer gradually decreased and the response layer gradually increased. The ecological pressure in Huainan City continued to increase and the response ability of ecological security has increased dramatically, but the environment status declined slightly. |
